season was up 40 percent vs. the second week of the 2002 season. The eight Week
2 games averaged 12,962 fans per game, up 40 percent from 9,232 in Week 2 in
2002.
The 2003 two-week cumulative average attendance of 13,014 is up 33 percent
vs. the first two weeks of 2002 (9,811). The 13,014 figure is up 31 percent
vs. the final 2002 season average of 9,957. Last season’s average attendance
was up 8.8 percent vs. 2001.
Week 2 highlights included Colorado’s second consecutive sellout (17,433)
and Los Angeles’ second consecutive week of setting a team attendance record
(14,992). The Avengers had 14,827 in Week 1.
