WOKING, England -- McLaren agreed to a sponsorship deal with computer firm Lenovo for 2009 on Wednesday.
McLaren said Lenovo would provide the British Formula One team with notebook and desktop PCs at the race track and team headquarters as part of the deal, with the Chinese firm's technology being integrated into McLaren's engineering operations.
The deal comes amid troubled times for F1, which has been affected by the current economic crisis.
Earlier this month, Honda announced it was pulling out of the sport. Governing body FIA and the F1 teams have already agreed to sweeping regulation changes for next year in a bid to curb costs.
