Formula 3000 champ Liuzzi to take over for Klien at Red Bull

MILTON KEYNES, England -- Vitantonio Liuzzi will make his Formula One debut for Red Bull at this month's San Marino GP, replacing Christian Klien.

Liuzzi, a 24-year-old Italian, has been the team's test and reserve driver for the season's first three races. He will drive in at least the next three races, the team said Tuesday.

Liuzzi steps in for Klien, a 22-year-old Austrian who is 12th in the drivers' championship with three points.

Liuzzi won at the Imola circuit -- where the April 24 San Marino GP will be held -- on his way to taking last year's Formula 3000 championship.
