Muhammad Ali is back in the hospital, this time for a respiratory issue, a family spokesperson announced on Thursday. Doctors are planning to treat the issue quickly and make it a short visit for the former world heavyweight champion.
"Ali, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, is being treated by his team of doctors and is in fair condition," wrote family spokesman Bob Gunnell in a statement. "A brief hospital stay is expected. At this time, the Muhammad Ali family respectfully requests privacy."
It is unknown what caused the issue. Ali has battled Parkinson's disease for the last 32 years. Ali retired from boxing in 1981 and currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.
