Scuffle erupts in ring after Judah's low blow to Mayweather
CBS SportsLine.com wire reports
LAS VEGAS -- A melee broke out between trainers and support staff for
welterweights Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Saturday night after
Judah hit the challenger with two illegal blows.
With Mayweather seemingly in a comfortable lead late in the 10th round
of the fight for Judah's IBF welterweight title, Judah sent Mayweather
to the canvas with a left hook to Mayweather's groin and a right to the
back of his head.
Mayweather's trainer and uncle, Roger Mayweather, jumped into the ring
in an attempt to challenge Judah. Members of both fighters' corners
followed into the ring, and several police officers and security
personnel stormed the ring to restore order.
After perhaps five minutes of confusion, the bout resumed.
