SAN FERNANDO, Trinidad (AP) -Trinidad teenager Giselle Salandy won the WBA and WBC women's super-welterweight boxing titles when she defeated American Liz Mooney by technical knockout at Skinner Park on Friday.
Salandy, 18, was ahead on all three judges' cards when late replacement Mooney failed to answer the bell for the eighth of 10 scheduled rounds. Salandy improved her record to 12-0. Mooney fell to 2-5.
