Matt Hughes was also a guest on the show, and aside from slapping a rear naked choke on Ferrall, he also confirmed he'll be fighting Chris "Lights Out" Lytle at UFC 68 in Columbus, Ohio, on March 3. Tim Sylvia vs. Randy Couture for the UFC heavyweight title and Rich Franklin vs. Jason MacDonald are also scheduled for the card.

The Mike Swick vs. Yushin Okami match originally scheduled for UFC 68 has been moved to the UFC 69 card. UFC 69 is scheduled to take place on April 7 from Houston. Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Serra for the UFC welterweight title will headline the show, with Diego Sanchez vs. Josh Koscheck also slated. Heath Herring and Pete Spratt could also be added in separate bouts.

EliteXC sent out a release earlier this week officially announcing that Jake Shields and Murilo "Ninja" Rua have been signed to fight for the promotion. Both will debut on EliteXC's next card on May 5.

EliteXC's first card will be this Saturday in Southaven, Miss. The main card starts at 10 p.m. ET on Showtime, and the undercard will be streamed live and free of charge at ProElite.com starting at 7 p.m. ET.

We're close to reaching a point where we'll have mixed martial arts televised every night of the week with yet another MMA television deal having been announced. BodogFight has signed an agreement with Ion Television (formerly the PAX network) in which the company will air taped bouts Tuesday and Saturday nights at 11 p.m. ET, starting next week.

In MMA entertainment related news, Tito Ortiz will be appearing on the CBS show Numb3rs on Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. ET. Also, Ken Shamrock has been cast by Imperia Entertainment in the role of Max in the upcoming MMA-themed movie Never Submit.
