Morgan Pressel defends title against all-star field
CBS Sports presents final-round coverage of the "LPGA Kraft Nabisco Championship" on Sunday, April 6 (3-6 p.m., ET) live from Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. as the LPGA Tour tees off with its first major championship of the year.
Defending champion Morgan Pressel takes on one of the strongest fields of the year which includes the top players in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings: No. 1-ranked Lorena Ochoa looking for her second major title after winning last year's Ricoh Women's British Open, No. 2-ranked Annika Sorenstam, aiming for her fourth LPGA Kraft Nabisco Championship title in the past eight years, and her 11th major victory overall, Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer, Karrie Webb, Cristie Kerr, Ji-Yai Shin, Jeong Jang, Mi Hyun Kim, Juli Inkster, 2007's LPGA Tour and World Golf Halls of Fame inductee Se Ri Pak, Brittany Lincicome, Ai Miyazato, Catriona Matthew, Natalie Gulbis and Laura Diaz (in order of rankings).
Last year, Pressel was the youngest player in LPGA Tour history to win a major (18 years, 10 months and 9 days old) and is now the youngest to ever defend an LPGA major. Pressel shot a 3-under-par 69 to come from four strokes back in 2007 to defeat Pettersen, Lincicome and Matthew. This year the LPGA Kraft Nabisco Championship will celebrate its 37th anniversary at Mission Hills Country Club.
