Studio Producer, NCAA Tournament

David Winner serves as the studio producer for CBS Sports' coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. He has produced the CBS Television Network's figure skating coverage of the 1994 and 1998 Olympic Winter Games, as well as several additional skating specials. Winner has served as producer of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships for more than 25 years and was the producer for the primetime broadcasts and opening ceremony at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games.

Winner, won three Emmy Awards as the producer for NFL broadcasts and one for his role in the 1990 NCAA Basketball Championship. He has served as senior producer, CBS Sports, with overall editorial responsibility for the Network's wrap-around programs.

He joined CBS Sports in 1980 as a producer and served as coordinating producer for CBS SPORTS SATURDAY/SUNDAY. Winner started as a production assistant at KNXT-Los Angeles (now KCBS-TV) in 1974 and was named sports producer in 1976. He is a 1972 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. and was born Feb. 21, 1949 in Gary, Ind. He lives in New York City. Shop
