Navy will be joined by Alabama, Memphis and Pittsburgh in the fourth annual Veterans Classic in November, CBS announced Monday. The Veterans Day event will be aired on CBS Sports Network from Annapolis, Maryland, on Nov. 10 -- the opening day of the 2017-18 college basketball season.
Alabama’s young roster that returns three starters under Avery Johnson will be loaded with talent, highlighted by incoming five-star freshman point guard Collin Sexton. Memphis, on the other hand, lost its leading scorer in Dedric Lawson and faces a difficult challenge in year two under Tubby Smith.
Before the games tip, each team will get an in-depth look at the life of a midshipman and be able to immerse themselves in the culture at the U.S. Naval Academy.
