Arizona extends Miller's contract through 2017-18
Arizona basketball coach Sean Miller received a one-year contract extension Thursday, according to reports from the Associated Press and the 'Arizona Daily Star.'
Miller’s new contract runs through the 2017-18 season, with salary increases that will take it to $2.6 million in 2016-17 and the same amount the following season, according to the AP.
“We are very pleased that Sean is our coach and we want him to be for many years to continue to build on the incredible academic and competitive momentum he has already led during his time at the University of Arizona,” Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne told the Star.
Miller’s Wildcats went 27-8 last season and advanced to the Sweet 16 before falling to <span data-shortcode= State" data-canon="Ohio Bobcats" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" id="shortcode0">. Miller previously coached five seasons at Xavier.
