Auburn-Alabama game postponed due to snowy weather

The SEC/Auburn/Alabama announced late Tuesday night that snowy weather has forced the game between the Tigers and the Tide to be postponed one day.

"After consulting with the Southeastern Conference, it has been determined that the men's basketball game between Auburn and Alabama has been postponed until Thursday due to wintery weather across the state of Alabama," according to a release. "The safety of the participating teams, staff and fans was considered in postponing the game. Tip time has been set for approximately 25 minutes following the conclusion of the Texas A&M at Auburn women's game, which has been moved to a 5 p.m. tip off."

Inclement and unusual weather throughout the southern United States has led to disastrous conditions on the road and a state of emergency in many states.

Auburn is 8-9 and Alabama 9-10 this season.
