CBS, Turner to produce three telecasts for Final Four games
TBS will televise the national semifinal games at the Final Four this season -- but TNT and truTV will show their own telecasts with different announcers and production teams.
Turner Sports and CBS will produce three different telecasts for the two national semifinal games at the Final Four this season, the cable network announced on Monday morning.
The national telecast will be shown on TBS, but TNT and truTV will also show their own telecasts of the same games. The latter two networks will use announcers and production teams focused on each program involved in the game.
"The concept is born out of the popularity and incredible passion fans have for their college basketball teams and schools, and with this innovating approach we are tapping into their enthusiasm with three distinct telecasts," Turner executive VP and COO Lenny Daniels told Sports Business Daily.
CBS will exclusively televise the championship game on April 7, 2014.
