Kansas received only one first-place vote in the AP poll last week. But the Jayhawks should get many more this week thanks to the fact that Gonzaga and Villanova both lost home games to inferior opponents in the past five days.

KU, a No. 1 seed in CBS Sports Bracketology Expert Jerry Palm’s latest projected bracket, is now 26-3 and in possession of a three-game lead in the conference KenPom has labeled college basketball’s best. The Jayhawks will take a six-game winning streak into Monday’s game with Oklahoma. They have the nation’s best RPI and 17 top-100 wins. That’s among the reasons why they’re ranked No. 1 in the CBS Sports Top 25 (and one).
