Creighton holding 'Lumberjack Night' in honor of bearded Ethan Wragge
The deep threat for the Bluejays is getting a game dedicated in his honor, and fans need to participate.
This could get hairy.
Ethan Wragge, the bearded boss baller who bombed nine 3-pointers on Villanova Monday night, is getting a game all to himself. Sort of. "Lumberjack Night" is the latest promotion for Creighton basketball. Using "Monty Python" to push this is a stroke of brilliance.
On Feb. 7, the Bluejays will host DePaul, and the school is encouraging all who attend the game to show in their finest flannel and beards, real or fake, I'm presuming. I can't wait for the visuals -- it's going to look like a 1993 Pearl Jam concert inside CenturyLink Center -- and given how much Creighton fans love this 16-3 team, it should make for some great visuals.
Wragge's role for the Bluejays has been the same for his entire career: shoot the 3, son. He's 74 for 148 this season -- 50 percent, exactly -- and has only take six shots from 2-point range in 2013-14. Wragge's nine treys Monday tied a program record.
Creighton is awesome and could be on the verge of become the cult favorite club in college basketball's second half of the season.
