Fairleigh Dickinson hires UMass-Lowell's Greg Herenda
Fairleigh Dickinson has finally made a hire. The Knights have tabbed UMass-Lowell's Greg Herenda to replace Greg Vetrone.
Fairleigh Dickinson has hired UMass-Lowell coach Greg Herenda, sources told CBSSports.com.
A news conference is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Herenda is 95-54 in his five seasons at the helm at UMass-Lowell, which is set to join the America East next season. He went to the NCAA Division II tournament each of his first four seasons.
Herenda replaces Greg "Shoes" Vetrone, who was 26-95 overall in his tenure and 16-55 in the NEC. The Knights were 7-24 this past season and 2-16 in league play.
