Five-star sophomore Caleb Swanigan reclassifies to 2015
The class of 2015 just added a five-star center.
Caleb Swanigan will be reclassifying to the class of 2015, he announced on Monday.
I have reclassified to the 2015 class a lot of extra school work but defiantly worth it— Caleb Swanigan (@Biggs_Swanigan) May 12, 2014
Swanigan had been a five-star prospect in the sophomore class, ranked No. 16 in the 247Sports Composite. He recently turned 17, though, and will be 18 by the time his high school career ends next season.
The 6-foot-8 center from Homestead (Ind.) currently leads the Nike EYBL circuit in rebounding and free-throw attempts.
Swanigan said last month that Michigan State, UCLA, Pittsburgh, Auburn, Indiana and Purdue were all in pursuit, with Louisville also turning things up since former Indiana assistant Kenny Johnson moved to the Cardinals.
“It's all been pretty even,” Swanigan said at the time. “They've all been coming out pretty hard lately.”
Expect things to heat up even more now that Swanigan has moved to 2015.
