Florida's Kasey Hill out at least a month with an ankle injury

Florida freshman Kasey Hill suffered a high ankle sprain in Monday's 67-53 win over Southern and will be sidelined for at least a month, coach Billy Donovan told reporters after the game. Consequently, the 16th-ranked Gators will likely be forced to play No. 2 Kansas, No. 11 Memphis and No. 18 Connecticut without their primary ball-handler.

Hill was averaging 11.0 points and 4.7 assists through three games.

He was a McDonald's All-American last season.

This injury is more notable than it would otherwise be because Scottie Wilbekin, another point guard, is currently suspended. He is expected to return soon, though. Florida's next game is Thursday against Middle Tennessee State at the O'Connell Center.
