FSU commit, coveted JC prospect arrested after eating marijuana
Cinmeon Bowers, Torian Graham and Jamaar McKay-Taylor were arrested last week after officers accused them of eating marijuana during a traffic stop.
Junior college basketball produces some highly interesting stories. And this one is right up there.
Last Thursday night, three Chipola (Fla.) players were pulled over for a speeding violation. Police officers then smelled marijuana from inside the vehicle.
Here’s where the story takes a turn, though.
According to the Marianna Police Department, the three players ate the rest of the marijuana in the car in order to hide it from the officers. Yep, “Super Troopers”-style.
The players were charged with tampering with evidence, according to the Jackson County Floridian.
The paper also says that the three players were suspended indefinitely from the basketball team. Cinmeon Bowers is a Florida State commit, while Torian Graham is one of the most sought-after junior college players in the country. Jamaar McKay-Taylor is a Milwaukee native who is putting up 12.8 points per game this season.
