George Washington has extended the contract of head coach Mike Lonergan through the 2020-21 season, multiple sources told CBSSports.com.
An official announcement could come as early as Friday.
Lonergan led the Colonials to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006 this past season and finished with an overall record of 24-9, including an 11-5 mark in the Atlantic 10.
