Georgetown's Otto Porter heading to NBA
Georgetown sophomore forward Otto Porter will announce on Monday that he is leaving school for the NBA, a source told CBSSports.com.
A source told CBSSports.com that the 6-foot-8 sophomore forward will bypass his final two seasons with the Hoyas and declare for the NBA Draft. An announcement is expected Monday at 3 p.m. ET.
Several NBA executives told CBSSports.com that Porter is expected to be taken in the draft lottery.
Porter, a fairly unheralded recruit coming out of high school in small-town Missouri, averaged 16.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while leading Georgetown to a share of the Big East regular-season title. He also shot 42 percent from beyond the arc.
The Hoyas were upset in the first round of the NCAA tournament by Florida Gulf Coast.
