Georgia Tech dismisses guard Solomon Poole
Solomon Poole is no longer part of the Georgia Tech basketball team.
Georgia Tech sophomore guard Solomon Poole had missed the last seven games, last playing against Duke on Jan. 7. There was no reason given for his lack of playing time.
But that was the last we will see of Poole in a Yellow Jackets' uniform.
On Monday, head coach Brian Gregory announced that Poole had been dismissed from the program.
A release from the school cited "conduct and accountability issues."
Poole is expected to finish out the spring semester before looking elsewhere for a transfer. The 6-foot Florida native averaged 6.4 points and 2.0 assists.
Georgia Tech has struggled this season to a 12-10 record. Poole is the younger brother of teammate Stacey Poole Jr., who transferred from Kentucky two years ago.
