Georgia Tech suspends sophomore guard Chris Bolden for 3 games
Georgia Tech will be without Chris Bolden for its first three games of the season after suspending the sophomore for a "violation of team rules," the school announced Friday.
The 6-foot-3 guard will miss the Yellow Jackets' Nov. 1 exhibition opener, as well as regular-season home games Nov. 8 against Prebyterian, No. 11 against Delaware State and a Nov. 15 road game at Georgia. Bolden, one of four returning starters for Georgia Tech, averaged 7.3 points in 31 games as a freshman.
"When a violation of team rules occurs, our intention is always to deal with it firmly and appropriately," Yellow Jackets coach Brian Gregory said. "We expect the young men in our program to meet certain standards, and there has to be accountability when those standards are not met."
