The SEC schedule hasn't been kind to Texas A&M, but things may be looking brighter for the Aggies as they hit the heart of their schedule. A&M (9-6, 1-3) is coming off its first SEC conference win of the season, and favored over its next four games, starting with a Saturday showdown in Starkville, Mississippi against Mississippi State (11-4, 2-1).

Here's how you can watch the game on TV or streaming online, along with odds and a pick for the game.

Scouting report

Texas A&M lives and dies by its production on offense this season. When scoring more than 68 points, it has been unbeaten. The Aggies average 63.6 points in losses and 81.4 points in its wins. Their strong frontcourt play with D.J. Hogg and Tyler Davis lead the way on offense averaging 26.6 points per game between the two. Freshman Robert Williams adds 10.5 points and has emerged as a premium shot-blocking machine. Texas A&M, however, has a tough time hanging on to the ball.

Mississippi State does one thing very well: steal the ball. The Bulldogs have a steal percentage of 6.4, which ranks 14th in the country. That could be a big factor with this game because of the Aggies' tendencies to turn the ball over, averaging 13.8 giveaways per game.

Matchups to watch

Because of Texas A&M's willingness to give the ball away like candy, Mississippi State backcourt players I.J. Ready and Quinndary Weatherspoon could be in for a big day. The two have combined for 44 steals and also are the top two scorers on the team. Look for Mississippi State to put the pressure on Admon Gilder -- a guard who is a more natural fit at shooting guard, but running the point. The Bulldogs will turn the heat up and try to get quick transition points against Texas A&M's inexperienced backcourt.

Odds and pick

SportsLine odds: Pick 'em

SportsLine projection: Mississippi State 72, Texas A&M 66

Pick: Mississippi State

I think Ben Howland's team will keep the pressure on full blast and get enough turnovers to come away with a close one and win.
