Jeff Bzdelik out at Wake Forest
Head coach Jeff Bzdelik is expected to resign this evening from Wake Forest.
Jeff Bzdelik will not return as Wake Forest's men's basketball coach, a source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Thursday.
An official announcement will be made at a 5 p.m. ET press conference.
Bzdelik never won more than six ACC games or finished higher than ninth in the league in any of his four seasons at Wake Forest. In his past seven seasons as a head coach, dating back to his time at Colorado, Bzdelik hasn't won more than six league games or finished better than eighth in the conference standings.
Dino Gaudio was Wake Forest's previous coach. He made the NCAA Tournament in consecutive years before athletic director Ron Wellman fired him in March 2010 to hire Bzdelik, who hadn't (and still hasn't) made an NCAA Tournament since 2006.
