Louisville big Akoy Agau suspended indefinitely
Louisville has suspended backup big man Akoy Agau indefinitely.
Louisville freshman forward Akoy Agau has been suspended indefinitely, the school announced Friday.
Agau, a 6-foot-8 product of Nebraska, has played 36 minutes over seven games this season. He was ranked No. 96 in the class of 2013 at 247Sports, committing to the Cardinals over Georgetown and West Virginia.
Louisville likely won’t miss a beat down low, with Chane Behanan and Montrezl Harrell garnering most of the minutes, and Stephan Van Treese and Mangok Mathiang coming off the bench. Mathiang in particular has been a surprise, averaging 10.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in his past two games.
The Cardinals play at Florida International on Saturday.
