Maryland adds Michigan transfer Evan Smotrycz
Michigan transfer Evan Smotrycz was set to visit Maryland, Colorado and Providence. However, the skilled 6-foot-8 forward made his decision after his trip to College Park.
The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 7.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this past season as a sophomore while shooting 44 percent from beyond the arc.
"I had a great time on my visit and felt really comfortable with the coaches and the players," Smotrycz told CBSSports.com. "I didn't feel like I needed to go anywhere else."
Smotrycz will sit next season and have two remaining with Terps coach Mark Turgeon, who was in need of a skilled forward.
