Miami senior center Reggie Johnson won't travel with the team for the Sweet 16 due to a knee injury he suffered in the win over Illinois on Sunday.
Miami senior big man Reggie Johnson won't travel with the Hurricanes this weekend to Washington, D.C. for the Sweet 16.
Johnson suffered a knee injury in the win against Illinois, and had minor surgery on his meniscus, He will remain back in Coral Gables in hopes of being able to play if the team beats Marquette and either Indiana or Syracuse and advances to the Final Four.
The 6-foot-10 center played a pivotal role the early part of the season, but hasn't been the same since returning from the broken wrist he suffered back in December.
Johnson was scoreless in 18 minutes against Illinois. He had seven points and 10 rebounds in the victory over Pacific to open the NCAA tournament.
