Michigan State's Gary Harris to be sidelined at least four weeks
Gary Harris suffered a severe ankle sprain on Friday. He'll likely be unavailable to open practice with Michigan State next month.
Michigan State sophomore Gary Harris suffered a sprained right ankle on Friday and is expected to miss at least four weeks, school official Matt Larson told CBSSports.com.
The Spartans' first official practice is scheduled for Sept. 27.
A calendar suggests Harris isn't likely to be available on that date.
Harris averaged 12.9 points per game last season despite a shoulder injury and was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. He's a possible lottery pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Michigan State is ranked third in the CBSSports.com offseason Top 25 (and one).
