After 13 years as Ohio State's head basketball coach, Thad Matta is out. Now, the rumor mill has been spinning as to who will be the Buckeyes' next head coach.

The man you'll want to listen to when it comes to Ohio State's next frontman is Steve Helwagen.

He's been covering Ohio State sports for the last 20 years and has a whole network of sources who help him deliver inside info to the largest Buckeye sports community on the Web: Bucknuts, from 247Sports.

One name Helwagen's targeting that hasn't been tossed around too much is Baylor coach Scott Drew.

Rather than butting heads with Kansas coach Bill Self in the Big 12, Helwagen believes Drew could ditch his $2.4 million per year deal for a bigger payday at Ohio State (Matta was making almost $4 million annually).

Drew is a great fit for the gig in Columbus because of his Midwestern roots. He graduated from Butler and spent a decade at Valpo where his dad, Homer, was the longtime head coach.

Another not-talked-about name that Helwagen's targeting as a Hail Mary is Arizona head coach Sean Miller. He is a close friend of Matta, who is staying on to help with the coaching search, and he would know the situation in and around the OSU program as well as anybody. This could be a golden chance to join his brother, Archie, in the Big Ten.
