Ole Miss nabs commitment from forward Marcanvis Hymon
Andy Kennedy can relax just a little bit more heading into the July live period. He's picked up a pledge from forward Marcanvis Hymon.
While hundreds of players around the country will take the next three weeks to impress college coaches, Marcanvis Hymon won't have to be one of them.
On the eve of the July recruiting period, Hymon decided to end his recruitment. He's headed to Ole Miss.
Hymon, a 6-foot-8 forward from Whitehaven (Tenn.), is ranked No. 111 in the 247Sports Composite for the class of 2014. Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, Memphis and Mississippi State were also among his finalists.
"Ole Miss seems like a good fit," Hymon told 247Sports' Ole Miss site over the weekend. "Right now, Ole Miss is hot. They won the SEC championship. I have the opportunity to come in and play early, and you can't go wrong with the SEC."
Hymon is the first member of the Rebels' 2014 commitment class.
