Olivier Hanlan will remain at Boston College
The Eagles will hold on to a critical piece on a rebuilding team.
A small bit of positive college hoops news has trickled out of Boston. Olivier Hanlan, who is BC's best player now that Ryan Anderson has opted to transfer, will stay on the team next season.
Hanlan is a pro prospect and one of the best Boston College recruits in the past decade. He averaged 18.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season. The Boston Herald reports Hanlan will stay on with the team despite the recent coaching change.

Looks like a typo in the text, but this is big news for a program that needs a boost next season. Boston College two weeks ago hired Ohio's Jim Christian to replace Steve Donahue. Last week Christian lured top recruiter Scott Spinelli to leave Maryland and join his staff on Chestnut Hill.
The Eagles finished 8-24 in Donahue's final campaign.
