PHOTO: Rick Pitino getting about in a $450K car

From Luke Hancock's Instagram feed comes this composite of Louisville coach Rick Pitino's latest ride. It's a Lexus LFA. This two-door, two-seat jalopy sells in the neighborhood of $450,000 -- the most expensive Japan-made "road car" in history. Rick Pitino can have one of these how? Well, he co-owns a Lexus dealership, for one. So he could be merely taking it out for a spin. (UPDATE: Pitino was indeed just taking the car out for a ride; he has not purchased the vehicle.)

But also: Rick Pitino is filthy rich, thanks to his latest contract at Louisville through 2022 and the horses he owns that keep winning races.

There are supposedly only about 500 of these cars in the world; Jay Leno owns one, naturally.

The specs on it are insane. I'm no car connoisseur or crackerjack, but I'm here to say this puppy can go fast! Here's how it works. Hummina, hummina.
