PHOTO: Rick Pitino's specialized Maker's Mark bottle has arrived
Rick Pitino is going to be on a bottle of bourbon, and now we know what that bottle will look like. Yes, it's red.
We've had a lot of Louisville pub on the blog in the past two months. Winning a national title will do that for a team. Previously we told you how Maker's Mark -- which is based in Kentucky -- would be putting out a custom bottle with Cards coach Rick Pitino on it.
We now know what that design will look like. Louisville sports information director Kenny Klein sent along this photo on Tuesday.

Sure to become a collector's item for many Louisville fans inside Kentucky and out. There will reportedly be 12,600 of these bottles getting made, and proceeds from the sales will go toward the Academic Center of Excellence, a new building at Louisville.
The bottles will be on sale this Friday.
By the way, John Calipari has already received the Maker's Mark treatment (you can buy a signed bottle on eBay for a cool $175!), so this is keeping with a new tradition of bourbon and basketball in the Bluegrass State. Pitino will sign bottles on Thursday, June 13, at the KFC Yum! Center.
