SMU big man Yanick Moreira will miss time with a knee injury suffered Thursday in practice.
SMU's Yanick Moreira will miss the next three to six weeks with a knee injury, Larry Brown told CBSSports.com on Friday morning.
The injury occurred Thursday night in practice.
Brown said Moreira will return this season.
The 6-9 big man is averaging 9.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Mustangs, who are 11-3 this season and 1-1 in the American Athletic Conference.
Brown said freshman forward Ben Moore will now have to play more in Moreira's absence.
The 6-9 Moore is averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in just 12.6 minutes per contest.
SMU plays at Louisville on Sunday at 1 PM ET on CBS Sports Network.
