Terry Larrier, a four-star small forward from New York, has chosen VCU over Connecticut, sources told CBSSports.com.

Larrier visited the Rams’ campus this weekend, and then made his decision on Monday. Florida, Florida State, Miami and Seton Hall were also on his final list of six.

The 6-foot-8 wing boosted his stock during the spring and summer, emerging from the AAU season as one of the top 50 prospects in the class of 2014 after playing alongside five-star big men Chris McCullough and Cheick Diallo with Team Scan. Due to his length and size, Larrier has the ability to be a nuisance on the defensive end. He should be perfect for the high-octane nature of VCU’s pressure defense. On the other end of the floor, Larrier can create matchup problems for most defenders. He has deep range on his perimeter jumper, and can stretch defenses with his outside shot.

Larrier is the third commitment for Smart in the 2014 class. Athletic forward Justin Tillman committed in late August, while point guard Jonathan Williams made his pledge back in March. All three are very good fits for Havoc.

Larrier is ranked No. 44 in the 247Sports Composite.
