Holding an 11-point lead with time ticking off the clock, Iowa stole the ball from North Dakota with just under 5 seconds left in the game. That would pretty much do it.

So Iowa did what any normal team would do. Run the clock out and hold the ball.

Except North Dakota wasn't done playing. They stole the ball right back with under 2 seconds, apparently not accepting the outcome or not realizing that a layup wasn't going to change the outcome.

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery was so mad about it, he had his team walk off the floor and skip the handshakes.

The funny thing is, had that layup gone in before the buzzer, it actually would have mattered. At least the folks in Vegas would have been interested.

North Dakota was an EXACT 11-point underdog according to Sportsline and Vegas Insider.

"I wasn't pleased with how the game ended and the things that happened," McCaffery said after the game. I will say this: I have a lot of respect for Brian and Jeff Horner. I don't think they teach that kind of stuff. But I was not having it. That is not the way to play."
