Alabama, Georgia picked by media in SEC Championship Game
Voting media picked Alabama to defeat Georgia to win the SEC, predicting a rematch of the 2012 conference championship game.
The 2012 SEC Championship Game was so good, the SEC media is hoping Alabama and Georgia run it back in 2013.
Well, not exactly. But the results of the preseason predicted order of finish, as voted on by the media, were released Thursday morning, with the Crimson Tide getting picked as the 2013 SEC champion and the Bulldogs finishing as the SEC East champs for the third year in a row.
It should be noted the media has been wrong about the SEC champion in 17 out of the last 21 years, so maybe this is not great news for Alabama fans. Last season, the media picked LSU to win the conference over the Crimson Tide, and we all know how that turned out.
