Arizona State RB Marion Grice out for Holiday Bowl
Arizona State will be without its star running back, Marion Grice, for tonight's Holiday Bowl against Texas Tech.
Arizona State running back Marion Grice is officially out for the Holiday Bowl against Texas Tech with a leg injury, according to an ASU coach.
ASU had deemed Grice doubtful leading up to the game but evaluated him one last time Monday before making a final determination.
Grice ends his senior year with 1,434 yards rushing/receiving and 20 touchdowns, two shy of the school record. Grice was on pace to shatter that record with 18 touchdowns in his first seven games. But defenses starting loading up on Grice, opening rushing lanes for quarterback Taylor Kelly, and Grice also missed the last two games with the injury.
A victory over Tech would give the Sun Devils their first 11-win season since 1996.
