Ball State running back Horactio Banks tore his ACL in a recent practice, leaving Ball State without its No. 2 tailback entering tonight's crucial Mid-American Conference game with No. 20 Northern Illinois.
Banks is second on the team with 595 rushing yards and seven scores. Banks tore the ligament over the weekend when planting on the practice field. He suffered the injury without absorbing any contact.
The Cardinals will rely on leading rusher Jahwan Edwards to shoulder the load.
