Big Ten-ACC to meet in Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit
The Detroit Lions announced Tuesday that the Big Ten-ACC bowl game in Detroit will be sponsored by Quick Lane.
The Detroit Lions and Ford Motor Company announced a multiyear sponsorship agreement for the team's bowl game at Ford Field. The 2014 Quick Lane Bowl is scheduled to feature teams from the Big Ten and ACC and take place on Dec. 26 at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Lions are one of just two NFL teams (the other being the Houston Texans) to host and operate a bowl game. Ford Field previously hosted the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, a Big Ten-MAC bowl game that evolved out of the Motor City Bowl.
Both the ACC and Big Ten will work with bowl organizers to determine the best matchup after the conclusion of the regular season.
