Big Ten Network releases primetime schedule
The Big Ten Network released its primetime schedule for the 2013 football season.
It's early May, which means that we're still an entire summer away from the return of college football, so until then we're going to have to bide our time with schedules. Thankfully, the Big Ten Network released its primetime schedule on Monday for the 2013 season.
All times are Eastern and all games are national broadcasts, unless otherwise noted.
Thursday Aug. 29
UNLV at Minnesota -- 7 p.m.
Indiana State at Indiana -- 7 p.m. (regional broadcast)
Friday Aug. 30
Western Michigan at Michigan State -- 8 p.m.
Saturday Aug. 31
Wyoming at Nebraska -- 8 p.m.
Saturday Sept. 7
Syracuse at Northwestern -- 6 p.m.
Southern Miss at Nebraska -- 6 p.m.
Navy at Indiana -- 6 p.m. (regional broadcast)
Saturday Sept. 14
UCF at Penn State -- 6 p.m.
Washington vs. Illinois (at Soldier Field, Chicago) -- 6 p.m.
Western Michigan at Northwestern -- 9 p.m.
Saturday Sept. 21
Missouri at Indiana -- 8 p.m.
Saturday Oct. 19
Wisconsin at Illinois -- 8 p.m.
No, it's not the most glamorous of slates, but it's important to remember that ESPN/ABC get first crack at the better Big Ten games, and those games were announced last week. It's also important to remember that the Big Ten prefers playing games in the morning or afternoon whenever possible, which is why you'll notice that the game between Illinois and Wisconsin on Oct. 19 is the only conference game on the entire schedule listed above.
