Bo Pelini gets a raise and an extension
Bo Pelini will get a small bump in pay in 2012 and his contract now runs through the 2016 season.
According to the Omaha World-Herald, Pelini has received a small bump in pay and has had his contract extended through the 2016 season. Pelini's salary will increase from $2.775 million to $2.875 million in 2012.
Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne confirmed the news of the extension to the paper.
All of which is a good thing for Nebraska both on the field and on the recruiting trail. It seems like any time there's a job that comes open these days, Pelini's name gets floated as a potential candidate for it, no matter how many times he denies his interest in the position.
By adding yet another year to Pelini's deal, Nebraska is showing it's just as committed to its head coach as he appears committed to Nebraska.
