On of Boston College's top returning running backs, Rolandan, has decided to leave the team for "personal reasons.

The school confirmed the news to the Heights, Boston College's student newspaper, over the weekend. According to the report, it is still unclear if Finch will seek a transfer to another school for his final year of eligibility. The senior running back is still enrolled as an undergraduate student at Boston College.

Finch led the Eagles with 705 rushing yards in 2011, but found himself in Frank Spaziani's doghouse for much of 2012. Finch did not see any action in six straight games last season before returning to the lineup in the final three contests. But in those three games Finch totaled 322 rushing yards, averaging 6.19 yards per carry.

Many expected Finch, along with the other running backs, to see a featured role in the offense under first-year head coach Steve Addazio. Former Boston College running back Montel Harris was one of the Big East's leading rushers last season under Addazio, and aspects of that physical Owls ground attack will likely be on display this fall in Chestnut Hill.

The responsibility will now fall primarily on the shoulders of senior Andre Williams. Williams has stood out this spring as the team's No. 1 running back while Tahj Kimble recovers from major surgery. Sophomore Dave Dudeck saw limited action in 2011, while George Craan, Myles Willis, and Tyler Rouse have yet to record a collegiate carry.
