Braxton Miller will not play against Cal
The Ohio State quarterback suffered a sprained MCL last week and will not play against Cal on Saturday.
Miller will not play on Saturday night when Ohio State takes on California. Miller did not warm up with the quarterbacks before the game and was not in uniform when the Buckeyes took the field 40 minutes before the game.
During the week Ohio State coach Urban Meyer had said Miller was day-to-day, but after last Miller suffered the sprained MCL against San Diego State last week, Meyer said he could have returned to the game had he needed to.
Now, a week later, it appears Miller's not healthy enough to play.
Kenny Guiton played well in Miller's place last week, but should Miller's knee injury keep him out for an extended length of time it would make Ohio State's goal of a Big Ten title and possibly a national championship a lot more difficult to achieve.
Ohio State will also be without defensive end Adolphus Washington on Saturday night as he did not make the trip with the team after suffering a groin injury last week.
