'College football coaches' category stumps Jeopardy contestants
Jeopardy contestants avoided a category about college football coaches and then answered just two of the five clues correctly.
College football made an appearance as a category on Jeopardy this week, but as the round played out it was avoided by the three contestants. The five clues -- all college football coaches -- asked for a university as the answer, and when the other clues had been picked Alex Trebek forced the group to face the pigskin.
Amy got Notre Dame as Knute Rockne's school and successfully tied Tom Osborne to Nebraska, but Urban Meyer and the Michigan helmet were not recognized by any of the contestants. Emily whiffed on getting Texas as Mack Brown's school -- she said Auburn, and Clay (the contestant on the far left) decided to sit this category out.
