Colorado QB Nick Hirschman to transfer
Colorado quarterback Nick Hirschman will transfer, a move that leaves Connor Wood as the only Buffalo QB with game experience.
The move comes as a bit of a surprise since Hirschman finished spring drills as the co-starter at quarterback along with fellow junior Connor Wood.
"Nick's a phenomenal young man, a great team player, and I was looking forward to watching him mature this fall and to see how he would do in the battle for the starting quarterback job," head coach Mike MacIntyre told the Ralphie Report. "We hate to lose him, but we do wish him the best."
Hirschman started two games in 2012 and threw for 589 yards and two touchdowns with seven interceptions. His departure comes on the heels of Jordan Webb's season-ending knee injury last week, leaving Wood as the only signal caller on the roster with game experience.
