Conference USA announces new television agreement
Conference USA has paired with Sinclair Broadcast Group to produce and distribute 100 C-USA events.
Conference USA has reached an agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group that will result in more Conference USA sporting events reaching more living rooms across the country.
Conference commissioner Britton Banowsky announced Thursday that the conference's agreement with Sinclair Broadcast Group will produce and distribute 100 Conference USA sporting events in each of the next two years.
"We are extremely pleased to be able to partner with such a great broadcaster," Banowsky said. "This alliance provides new and differentiated exposure, which will benefit our member institutions, athletic programs, students, alumni, and communities. It certainly complements the existing arrangements we have on the FOX and CBS cable platforms."
Conference USA will also be a part of the new American Sports Network, a collegiate sports network that will air on Sinclair's broadcast television stations, as the network will broadcast 30 C-USA football games in 2014.
