Denard Robinson ranks Michigan's rivals, disses Michigan State
With all the talk about Michigan's rivals this week, former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson settled the debate by ranking the Wolverines' rivals.
There has been a lot of talk in the last week about how important the rivalry between Michigan and Notre Dame is. Amazingly the debate on the subject has gotten so passionate that some people are going on national television and just blatantly lying about it.
But what about the opinion of somebody who actually played in the games? Well, thankfully Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was asked to rank Michigan's top rivals, and he did just that.
"Of course we've got to say Ohio [State's] the biggest one," Robinson said. "[Then] Notre Dame and [No. 3] Michigan State, our little brothers."
That settles it, right? Well, not so fast. Could it be possible that Robinson ranking Michigan State last proves that it's a bigger rival for Michigan than Notre Dame? Think about it. Maybe Robinson hates Michigan State so much that he didn't want to give it the satisfaction of ranking ahead of Notre Dame on his list.
I mean, let's not forget that Robinson went 1-3 against the Spartans in his four years with the Wolverines.
Oh, and the fact Michigan and Michigan State have met on the football field 105 times while the Wolverines have played Notre Dame only 40 times should probably be part of this discussion as well.
