DODDCAST: Drafting the Fantasy College Football Program

No surprise that Oregon's <a href= was a common pick in the fantasy program draft. (US Presswire)

On this week's edition of the Doddcast, Dennis and I assemble the pieces necessary for the next college football juggernaut. With Week 5 providing a slim slate -- as Dennis notes, this could/should have been a great week for the Big Ten -- we decide to play a game to highlight some of the best and brightest coaches and players in college football.

Playing the role of fantasy athletic director/president/czar, Dennis and I pick a head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, stadium, and three players (one offense, one defense, one x-factor) as the building block for our Dodd University-Patterson University rivalry.

Neither of us chose Nick Saban -- a decision that I, for one, did to avoid heckling from Dennis. But while we tried to steer clear of cliche/easy selections, we both wound up picking the same stadium and one player for our budding programs.
